3 dead in motorcycle crashes on N.S. highways this week

Three tragic motorcycle crashes have occurred on Nova Scotia roads this week, resulting in the deaths of three individuals.
The first incident took place on Tuesday on Highway 101 in Deep Brook, near Digby. A motorcycle traveling eastbound collided with an SUV heading west near Purdy Road at approximately 1:35 p.m. The driver and passenger of the motorcycle, a 64-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman from Bear River East, tragically lost their lives at the scene of the collision. The driver of the SUV, a 51-year-old man from Meteghan River, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
In a separate crash in Cumberland County on Thursday evening, a motorcyclist lost his life in Salt Springs, near Springhill. The 61-year-old driver, a man from Amherst, was traveling west on Highway 104 when his motorcycle left the road and ended up in the median at around 6:15 p.m.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are currently investigating both incidents to determine the causes of the crashes. These tragic events serve as a reminder of the importance of road safety and vigilance while operating vehicles, especially motorcycles.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to the families and loved ones of the individuals who lost their lives in these heartbreaking accidents. May they rest in peace.
