Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame Announces 2025 Inductees

Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame has revealed the list of athletes and builders who will be inducted this year. The prestigious Order of Sport will be awarded to the following individuals at an induction gala on Oct. 29 at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Que.

Athlete Category:

  • Christine Sinclair – Soccer Star
  • Kevin Martin – Curler
  • Erik Guay – Alpine Skier
  • Michelle Stilwell – Wheelchair Racer
  • Darren Zack – Softball Player

Builder Category:

  • Ted Nolan – NHL Coach
  • Martha Billes – Sport Leader

These exceptional individuals have made significant contributions to the world of sports and will now be immortalized in the Hall of Fame alongside over 750 other Canadians, including even three horses!

Last year’s inductees included hockey player Vicki Sunohara, tennis player Daniel Nestor, and figure skater Patrick Chan, further solidifying the Hall of Fame’s reputation as a prestigious institution.

Canadians are encouraged to nominate deserving candidates for future induction into the Hall of Fame. A selection committee meticulously reviews submissions and votes to recommend inductees to the Hall’s board of governors.
