Jasmine Crockett attacks Trump, praises Massie in rant against Iran strike

Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, made headlines over the weekend with a fiery Instagram Live video in which she launched a scathing attack on President Donald Trump’s recent strikes on Iran. Crockett accused Trump of unilaterally declaring war and bypassing Congress, while also criticizing his immigration policies.
In the video, Crockett referred to Trump as a “mofo” and called on her supporters to wake up and take action against his administration. She praised Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., for his bipartisan resolution to limit the president’s ability to conduct military operations without congressional approval.
Crockett’s comments come at a time of heightened tensions between the U.S. and Iran, following Trump’s strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. While the move received support from Republican leaders and some Democrats, a small group of conservatives, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Rep. Warren Davidson, expressed concerns about getting involved in a potential war.
Massie, a longtime critic of foreign entanglements, is leading the charge in Congress to rein in Trump’s war powers on Iran. He is working with Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., on a resolution that aims to restore congressional oversight on military actions.
In response to Crockett’s video, the White House highlighted the support Trump has from his base and dismissed her criticisms. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized the strength of the America First movement and encouraged Crockett to attend a Trump rally to see it for herself.
Overall, Crockett’s remarks underscore the deep divisions in Congress over foreign policy and military actions. While some lawmakers support Trump’s decisions, others are pushing for greater congressional oversight and restraint when it comes to military interventions. It remains to be seen how the debate over Iran will play out in the coming weeks and months.
