Man is confronted with drug and weapon costs after several searches

One man is confronted with a whole series of drug trafficking and arms -related charges.
On August 13, officers attended a house in East Preston and safely arrested a 42-year-old man after trying to flee on foot.
Officers continued to search the house of the house, as well as two vehicles and another home in Dartmouth, with the help of the regional police of Halifax.
During the searches, officers seized a charged gun with a magazine about capacity, a quantity of pre -packaged cocaine and cash.
Frankie Downey, Van Dartmouth, is confronted with the following charges:
- Careless use of a firearm;
- Violates a regulation to save, handle, to transport, send, to display firearm;
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm;
- The possession of a firearms resistant is unauthorized;
- The possession of a weapon or device that knows its possession is unauthorized;
- Possession of prohibited or limited firearm with ammunition;
- Possession of weapons obtained by committing the violation;
- Two counts of possession of firearm while they were forbidden;
- Possesses for the purpose of human trafficking; And
- Ownership of ownership obtained by crime.
Downey was taken into custody and appeared on August 14 in the provincial court of Dartmouth. He remains in custody pending another court that will perform on August 19.
