Peel Police has reported that a shooting in Brampton, Ontario on Tuesday evening has resulted in one fatality and another individual sustaining injuries.
Authorities were alerted to the sound of gunshots at approximately 8:40 PM on Bayhampton Drive, where they discovered two male victims with gunshot wounds.
Tragically, one of the victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while the other was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds.
Constable Michelle Stafford informed the Canadian press that the incident occurred within a residence and that the perpetrators fled the scene in a vehicle.
Peel Police has dispatched the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau to the area to gather evidence and pursue leads on potential suspects.
Stafford emphasized that the shooting is believed to be a targeted and isolated incident, reassuring the public that there is no imminent threat to safety.
