Ontario man airlifted to hospital after motorcycle crash in Cumberland County

ATKINSON, N.S. — A 74-year-old man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a motorcycle crash in Atkinson on Wednesday.

Cumberland County District RCMP and other emergency crews responded to the scene on Highway 104 around 2:15 p.m.

Mounties said the motorcycle was travelling on the highway when it left the road and ended up in a ditch.

The driver, from Ontario, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by Lifeflight.

The investigation is ongoing.
