Ivanka Trump shares the fitness routine that has ‘transformed’ her body

Ivanka Trump, the second child of former President Donald Trump, is opening up about her health and fitness journey, sharing insights into her exercise regimen. The 43-year-old mother and business executive recently took to Instagram to share five key exercises that have played a pivotal role in her transformation, with a particular focus on her transition to weight training.

In her post, Trump revealed that she used to primarily focus on cardio, yoga, and Pilates, but since moving to Miami, she has shifted her attention to weightlifting and resistance training. This change, she noted, has been transformative, helping her build muscle and shift her body composition in ways she never imagined.

Dedicating three to four days a week to strength training, Trump incorporates foundational, time-tested movements such as squats, deadlifts, hinges, pushes, and pulls into her workouts. Working with a trainer, she prioritizes form and gradually adds weight to ensure a safe and steady progression while maintaining the integrity of each movement. Mobility work is also integrated to enhance range of motion and prevent injury.

In addition to her strength training routine, Trump emphasized the importance of increasing her protein intake significantly, consuming between 30 to 50 grams of protein per meal. This dietary change has played a crucial role in enhancing her strength and overall athleticism.

Outside of the gym, Trump engages in weekly yoga sessions and enjoys outdoor activities with her children, including surfing, swimming, hiking, walking, and golf. To boost her cardiovascular fitness, she also incorporates short, high-intensity interval training sessions into her weekly routine.

Regis Pagett, founder and owner of R Personal Fitness in New York City, praised Trump’s emphasis on resistance training, calling it the “secret recipe” for slimming and toning the body. Pagett highlighted the importance of proper form and a high-protein lifestyle for targeted muscle activation, optimal recovery, and minimal soreness between workouts.

Overall, Trump’s balanced approach to fitness, incorporating strength training, nutrition, cardiovascular exercise, and outdoor activities, has infused new energy into her routine and yielded great results. Each person’s fitness journey is highly personal, and consistency is key to achieving success.
