Nikki Haley responds after Trump says she won’t be part of new cabinet, says she wishes him ‘great success’

Nikki Haley, a Republican who previously ran against President-elect Trump, recently responded after he publicly announced that she would not be joining his administration. In a public statement, Haley expressed her well wishes for Trump, stating that she wishes him “great success” in his future endeavors.
Haley, who previously served as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, wrote in a post on Saturday, “I was proud to work with President Trump defending America at the United Nations. I wish him, and all who serve, great success in moving us forward to a stronger, safer America over the next four years.”
President-elect Trump made the announcement on Truth Social, stating that neither Nikki Haley nor former Secretary of State and CIA Director Mike Pompeo would be part of his new cabinet. This decision came amidst swirling rumors about potential cabinet members for the upcoming administration.
In response to Trump’s announcement, Haley graciously accepted the decision and thanked him for the opportunity to work together in the past. Trump expressed his appreciation for Haley and Pompeo’s previous service to the country, emphasizing his commitment to “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
During her campaign for the Republican candidacy, Haley positioned herself as an alternative to Trump. However, she eventually penned a supportive op-ed about Trump just two days before Election Day. In the op-ed titled “Trump Isn’t Perfect, but He’s the Better Choice,” Haley highlighted her agreement with Trump on most issues, contrasting her views with those of Vice President Kamala Harris.
