Joe Rogan reveals Harris team wanted ‘restrictions’ on potential interview

Popular podcast host Joe Rogan recently shared more details about his unsuccessful attempt to interview Vice President Kamala Harris before the election. Rogan revealed on a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” that there were certain restrictions set by Harris’ team, but he was willing to discuss any topic in order to have her on the show.

Rogan’s endorsement of President-elect Donald Trump the day before the election caused quite a stir, especially considering his status as a podcast host with a large and dedicated following. His endorsement came after Trump appeared on his show for a nearly three-hour interview in late October. Rogan also interviewed billionaire Elon Musk, who became a prominent Trump supporter towards the end of the campaign.

Despite his successful interviews with Trump and Musk, Rogan was unable to secure an interview with Harris. He expressed his willingness to talk about anything and get to know the Democratic presidential candidate on a personal level. Rogan stated, “I bet there’s a person in there. I bet I can get to that person. I would love to talk to her about all kinds of s—.”

Rogan had previously mentioned that there was a possibility of a last-minute interview with Harris before the election, but those plans fell through when her team requested a one-hour interview that required Rogan to travel to her location. Rogan emphasized that he preferred conducting interviews in his studio in Austin.

In addition, Harris’ team inquired about whether the podcast episode would be edited, to which Rogan responded that there would be no editing involved. He emphasized the importance of having a genuine and unfiltered conversation to truly understand a person’s thought process and character.

Despite the challenges in arranging an interview with Harris, Rogan remained hopeful that a conversation with her would provide valuable insights. He believed that a few hours of conversation could reveal a person’s true nature and how they approach various ideas and topics.

The Harris campaign has not responded to requests for comment on Rogan’s statements. Rogan, with millions of followers on Spotify and YouTube, continues to engage in candid conversations with a wide range of guests on his podcast.
