Trump flanked by top allies, cabinet picks at UFC 309: ‘USA, USA’

President-elect Donald Trump made a surprise appearance cageside at the UFC pay-per-view card in New York City on Saturday night, accompanied by a slew of cabinet picks and elected officials. The crowd at Madison Square Garden erupted in cheers and chants of “USA, USA” as Trump entered the arena with his top supporters turned cabinet picks.

Among those joining Trump were Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, who were both selected to lead the new Department of Government Efficiency, as well as Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s choice for director of national intelligence. Also in attendance was Robert Kennedy Jr., Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. Speaker Mike Johnson, R-LA, and Trump’s sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, were also present.

The president-elect was greeted by UFC President Dana White, a longtime supporter and friend who has hosted UFC events at Trump properties in the past. Trump, who has attended UFC matches in the past, has a strong relationship with White dating back to before his political career.

The appearance at Madison Square Garden comes as Trump has been swiftly filling his cabinet in the weeks following his re-election on Nov. 5. Most recently, he announced that Chris Wright, CEO and founder of Liberty Energy, will lead the Department of Energy in his new administration.

Trump’s nominees and administration picks are being announced at a rapid pace, reflecting his commitment to putting “America first.” According to a transition team spokesperson, the president-elect is focused on appointing highly qualified individuals who will help him fulfill his campaign promises and continue to prioritize the interests of the American people.
