Trump keeps Whatley at Republican National Committee following ‘OUTSTANDING and HISTORIC JOB’
President-elect Trump has extended an invitation to Republican National Committee chair Michael Whatley to continue steering the GOP’s national party committee. Whatley wasted no time in accepting the offer, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside President Trump in his mission to “Make America Great Again.”
Trump commended Whatley for his exceptional leadership during last month’s elections, which saw the GOP securing victories in the White House, Senate, and House. The former president praised Whatley’s historic performance as RNC chair and announced his decision to retain him in the position to further strengthen the Republican Party and uphold the principles of free and fair elections.
In March, Trump appointed Whatley to succeed Ronna McDaniel as RNC chair, highlighting his dedication to the party and election integrity efforts. Lara Trump, the former president’s daughter-in-law, was also named as RNC co-chair, emphasizing the Trump family’s influence within the party.
Trump lauded Whatley’s role in overseeing an unprecedented election integrity operation and a successful get-out-the-vote campaign, which contributed to the GOP’s victories in battleground states. The former president emphasized the transformation of the RNC under Whatley’s leadership into a powerful entity that will champion the America First Agenda for years to come.
Whatley, in response to Trump’s endorsement, pledged to prioritize voter turnout, ballot protection, and fundraising efforts to support Republican candidates at all levels. He underscored the importance of upcoming challenges, including confirming President Trump’s cabinet nominees and preparing for the 2026 midterms, as well as continuing the fight for election integrity nationwide.
As the RNC looks ahead to future elections, the focus will be on retaining the support of Trump voters and ensuring that the party remains unified even without Trump on the ballot. Building on the successes of the recent elections, the RNC under Whatley’s leadership will continue to uphold the values of the Republican Party and work towards a prosperous future for America.
