Paul Mescal: Actor sells clothes for charity

Paul Mescal gained widespread recognition for his role in the BBC adaptation of Sally Rooney’s “Normal People” in 2020, with his iconic silver necklace becoming a coveted fashion item.

Since then, the Irish actor has solidified his status as a global heartthrob and style icon.

Now, fans have a unique opportunity to own pieces from Mescal’s wardrobe as he partners with stylist Felicity Kay to sell some of his clothing for charity.

The items, worn by Mescal during the international promotional tour for the Ridley Scott film “Gladiator II,” will be available for purchase on the popular resale site Vinted.

The sale, set to launch later this month, aims to raise funds for the Irish charity Pieta, which offers support to individuals affected by suicide and self-harm.

Among the standout pieces up for grabs are a striped cashmere crewneck top worn by Mescal on “Saturday Night Live,” square-toed Jimmy Choo boots, and a red lace-up cardigan by British designer AV Vattev.

Also featured in the sale is a gray and red wool cardigan adorned with classical statues, known as the “Narcissus” cardigan by British brand Hades, priced at approximately $380.

The collaboration with Felicity Kay was announced on Instagram, with Kay expressing her excitement for the sale and the opportunity to support Pieta through the initiative.

The sale listings on Vinted include images of Mescal wearing each item, providing fans with a glimpse of how the pieces looked on the actor.

Mescal’s latest project sees him starring in the sequel to Ridley Scott’s blockbuster “Gladiator,” where he portrays Lucius, the son of Lucilla and the late Lucius Verus.
