NFL legend Joe Theismann gives free cars to service members for Army-Navy game
NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Theismann made a heartwarming gesture by giving two free cars to U.S. military veterans in honor of the upcoming 125th Army-Navy Game. Theismann, who had faced both Army and Navy teams during his time at Notre Dame, arrived at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., alongside former Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III to present the gifts.
The pair handed over the keys to two retrofitted vehicles to local active-duty military families. Theismann gifted a 2024 Chevy Malibu to Navy Seaman Matthew Walker and his family, while Griffin presented a 2023 Chevy Equinox to Army Specialist Caleb Dooley and his family. The donations were part of the Recycled Rides campaign in partnership with USAA.
