James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke features Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga for holiday special
Apple TV+ Surprises Fans with Holiday Episode of “Carpool Karaoke: The Series”
Fans of “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” were in for a treat this holiday season as Apple TV+ dropped a surprise holiday episode on Sunday. However, there was a twist – James Corden, the show’s usual driver, was nowhere to be found. Instead, Apple Music’s Zane Lowe took the wheel alongside three of music’s biggest stars of the moment.
Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, and Chappell Roan all took turns as passengers in the car, while Corden made a special cameo appearance with a phone call to Lowe.
“Zane, my guy. Listen I need a favour,” Corden says to Lowe. “I’ve got three friends, they just need a ride.”
“Sure mate,” Lowe responds. “Just tell me where they are.”
“Tokyo, Missouri, and Los Angeles,” Corden says, causing Lowe to exclaim, “Whoa!”
The episode featured the three singers belting out holiday classics and some of their own songs, marking Apple TV+’s first-ever “Carpool Karaoke” Christmas special.
“Carpool Karaoke” first gained popularity as a segment on “The Late Late Show” when Corden hosted. Artists would join him in the car, singing their hits as they cruised around with cameras capturing all the action.
The holiday episode is now available for streaming on Apple TV+.
