Lindsey Vonn falls toward end of downhill training run in Cortina

Lindsey Vonn Suffers Fall During World Cup Downhill Training Run

Lindsey Vonn took a tumble towards the end of a World Cup downhill training run in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy on Thursday. Despite appearing slightly banged up, Vonn managed to get back on her skis and ski to the finish area on the Olympia delle Tofane course. She then sought treatment inside a medical tent, but fortunately, her team confirmed that she did not suffer any broken bones.

The 40-year-old Vonn, who recently made a comeback to ski racing after nearly six years of retirement following a titanium knee replacement, has been proving that age is just a number. Last Sunday, she impressed with a fourth-place finish in a super-G in St. Anton, Austria.

Known for her remarkable achievements on the slopes, Vonn holds the record for the most wins in Cortina. With 12 victories under her belt in this iconic location, it comes as no surprise that Cortina will play a significant role in the upcoming Milan-Cortina Olympics.
