Coffin with Shiri Bibas allegedly returned to Israel

The tragic case of Shiri Bibas and her two young children, Ariel and Kfir Bibas, who were presumed to have been among the four hostages slain by Hamas, has taken a devastating turn. After discrepancies were found in the initial transfer of bodies, it was revealed that the body believed to be Shiri Bibas was actually that of an unidentified woman.
The Bibas family, along with the families of the other victims, have been left reeling from this shocking revelation. The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the identities of the two children, Ariel and Kfir, who were brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists. The fourth body, believed to be that of Oded Lifshitz, remains unidentified.
The news of the children’s deaths was met with outrage and heartbreak in Israel. IDF Spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari described the horrific manner in which the children were killed, stating that the terrorists used their bare hands. The Hostages and Missing Families forum expressed their deep sorrow and condemned the barbaric actions of Hamas.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon both denounced Hamas for their heinous actions. Netanyahu vowed that Hamas would pay the full price for failing to return Shiri Bibas’ body, while Danon criticized the terror group for treating the victims as if they were worthless.
The Bibas family’s ordeal began in October 2023 when they were abducted from their home by Hamas terrorists. Yarden Bibas, the father, was taken first, followed by his wife and children. Yarden was eventually released in a previous agreement, but the fate of his wife and children remained uncertain until now.
As the investigation into this tragic incident continues, the families and the nation of Israel mourn the loss of Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas, as well as Oded Lifshitz. The brutality of Hamas has once again been laid bare, and the call for justice and retribution grows louder.
