Vance takes shot at Harris and her word salads

Vice President JD Vance recently made headlines for taking a jab at former Vice President Kamala Harris, insinuating that her alcohol consumption might be responsible for what he referred to as “word salads.” Vance made these remarks in an interview with radio host and Daily Caller editor Vince Coglianese, where he compared his own approach to the vice presidency with Harris’s actions and speculated about her relationship with former President Joe Biden.
During the interview, Vance quipped, “Well, I don’t have four shots of vodka before every meeting,” suggesting that Harris might rely on alcohol to handle her duties. He criticized her tendency to deliver confusing answers to questions, implying that he would need alcohol to do the same. Vance also expressed his belief that Harris and Biden lacked the level of trust that he shares with President Donald Trump, although he admitted that his opinion was based on guesswork due to his infrequent communication with either Harris or Biden.
Harris has faced criticism in the past for her verbal gaffes, such as when she said, “I grew up understanding the children of the community are the children of the community” in September 2024. Despite these challenges, Harris has transitioned into a new role as a speaker with CAA Speakers, a prestigious agency that represents high-profile individuals. CAA has yet to respond to requests for comment on this matter.
A spokesperson for Vance confirmed his remarks about Harris during the podcast interview but declined to provide further comment. Coglianese has not responded to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
In addition to discussing Harris and Biden, Vance also light-heartedly commented on the memes that have circulated online featuring him. Following a viral Oval Office meeting with President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Vance became the subject of numerous internet memes. He mentioned enjoying memes that incorporate his image with references to Leonardo DiCaprio and the band Van Halen, finding them entertaining and adding a sense of humor to his role as vice president.
As the controversy surrounding Vance’s comments continues to unfold, it is clear that his outspoken nature and willingness to address sensitive topics have made him a polarizing figure in the political landscape. Despite the backlash, Vance remains committed to carrying out the president’s vision and embracing the challenges and opportunities that come with his role as vice president.
