The loudest silence: Democrats silent amid violent attacks against Tesla

The Democrats’ silence on the violence and vandalism against Tesla continues to raise eyebrows as Fox News Digital received a cold shoulder from Democratic lawmakers when asked if they condemn the “domestic terrorism” targeting Tesla. Only Rep. Rosa DeLauro offered comments, while House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to denounce the violence against Tesla when confronted on Capitol Hill.

Despite the FBI launching a task force to address Tesla-related crime and the Justice Department announcing charges against arson suspects, Democratic leaders like Jeffries and Pelosi have remained tight-lipped on the issue. This is particularly surprising given their past statements condemning domestic terrorism, with Jeffries calling it a “poison” that is destroying society and Pelosi commending her colleagues for refusing to accept the House GOP’s failure to investigate such acts.

When asked directly about the attacks on Tesla, Jeffries and Pelosi avoided the question, with Jeffries even refusing to acknowledge it as his staff ushered him inside the Capitol. This silence is in stark contrast to their previous strong stance against domestic terrorism, raising questions about their commitment to addressing all forms of violence.

Other Democrats who have spoken passionately against domestic terrorism have also remained silent on the issue, including those who sponsored legislation to combat such acts. Despite calls for decisive action against violent extremism, these lawmakers have failed to denounce the attacks on Tesla showrooms, charging stations, and vehicles.

Rep. Maxine Waters, who has previously called for an investigation into the funding of domestic violent extremist activities, responded to the issue by implying that President Donald Trump should serve time for his own convictions. However, she has yet to call for an investigation into the funding of the Tesla protests, despite accusations that liberal activist groups may be involved.

On the other hand, Rep. Rosa DeLauro was clear in her condemnation of the violence, stating that she opposes violence and believes it has no place in our society. Similarly, Rep. Ro Khanna has called for zero tolerance for acts of vandalism against Tesla and urged his Democratic colleagues to condemn the attacks.

When asked about the Tesla attacks, Sen. Bernie Sanders emphasized that while everyone has a right to protest, no one has the right to engage in violence. He condemned the attacks as outrageous and absurd, emphasizing that violence is never justified.

Overall, the Democrats’ silence on the violence against Tesla raises concerns about their commitment to addressing domestic terrorism and protecting businesses from such attacks. As incidents of vandalism and destruction against Tesla continue to escalate across the country, it remains to be seen whether Democratic leaders will speak out against these acts and support efforts to hold the perpetrators accountable.
