Melania Trump to focus on love as a ‘universal language’ at International Women of Courage Awards

First lady Melania Trump is set to honor courageous women from around the world at the State Department on Tuesday, celebrating their extraordinary strength and love in action. This marks her fifth year participating in the Secretary of State’s International Women of Courage Awards.

During the event, the first lady will highlight women who have bravely stood up for values cherished in the United States. She is expected to emphasize the power of love as a universal language and recognize the profound connection between love and courage shown by this year’s honorees.

Among the recipients of the awards are women from Burkina Faso, Israel, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, and Yemen. Since 2007, the State Department has honored over 200 women from more than 90 countries with this prestigious award.
