Gas and diesel prices drop in Nova Scotia

Nova Scotians are in for more good news this week as the price of gasoline has dropped once again. The Nova Scotia Energy Board made the decision to lower prices in response to significant shifts in the market price of gasoline and diesel oil.

As of midnight on Tuesday, the price of regular gasoline in the Halifax area has decreased by 6.2 cents to 143.1 per litre. Additionally, the price of diesel has also seen a drop of 11.6 cents to 148.6 per litre. It is worth noting that prices may vary slightly depending on the location within the province.

Just last week, following the cancellation of the consumer carbon tax, Nova Scotians experienced a significant drop in gas prices. Regular gasoline saw a decrease of 17.4 cents from 163.9 to 146.5 per litre, while diesel dropped by 22.1 cents to 161.2 per litre in the Halifax area.

This recent decrease in gas prices is sure to provide relief for many Nova Scotians who rely on their vehicles for daily transportation. It is a welcome change that will help ease the financial burden of fuel costs for residents across the province.
