Man dead after Halifax stabbing

One man is dead after a stabbing in Halifax early Wednesday morning.
Halifax Regional Police said they were called at 2:20 a.m. to Twin Oaks Road, where they found the 32-year-old victim. He was rushed to hospital but later died of his injuries.
A 36-year-old man was arrested at the scene without incident and is currently being questioned in relation to the killing at a two storey-apartment house on the short, quiet street that runs between Circle Drive and Herring Cove Road and has mostly multi-unit buildings.
Police are continuing to investigate but say they don’t believe it was a random incident.
Const. Nicolas Gagnon said he isn’t able to say whether the incident happened inside or outside.
He said police expect to be at the scene most of the day. Forensic identificaton officers could be seen working in the backyard of the building Wednesday morning, and the entire property was cordoned off with police tape. A patrol car and the forensics vehicle were parked out front.
No charges had been laid as of late morning.
