NFL news: Cam Ward drops major hints of landing spot

Cam Ward appears to have a strong inkling of which team will be drafting him next week, as he has emerged as the consensus No. 1 pick in most NFL mock drafts. The Tennessee Titans hold the coveted top selection, and all signs point to them sticking with that pick and selecting Ward.
Recent speculation suggests that Ward himself is confirming this prediction. During a live stream of Fortnite, Ward praised Titans running backs Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears as the best in the league. He also mentioned his top four receivers: Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, Calvin Ridley, and Treylon Burks, with Burks having ties to Nashville.
Earlier in the offseason, there was talk of the Titans potentially trading away the first pick due to the depth of talent in this year’s draft class. However, with quarterback Will Levis struggling and a new front office in place, it seems increasingly likely that Tennessee will opt for a potential franchise quarterback like Ward.
Ward’s performance on the field speaks for itself. He set a new record for the most touchdown passes in a career in Division I history, surpassing Case Keenum’s previous record. His 39 touchdowns led all of Division I, earning him All-American honors and a fourth-place finish in Heisman Trophy voting.
As the NFL draft approaches, all eyes are on Ward and the Titans to see if this projected pairing will indeed come to fruition. Stay tuned for more updates as the big day draws near.
