Annapolis County man operating lawn tractor charged with impaired driving

MEADOWVALE, N.S. — Police in Annapolis County have charged a 46-year-old Meadowvale man with driving a lawn tractor while impaired.

Annapolis District RCMP received a report of a potential impaired driver operating a lawn tractor on the shoulder of Willow Avenue on June 26 at about 6 p.m.

Mounties found a man fitting the suspect’s description who police said showed signs of impairment. The man was asked to provide a breath sample, which the screenign device recorded as a fail.

The man was arrested and taken back to the Kingston RCMP detachment, where he gave breath samples that read over the legal blood-alcohol limit.

He is scheduled to appear in Annapolis Royal provincial court Aug. 2 on charges of impaired driving, and impaired driving with a blood-alcohol reading of over 80 mg.
