Herder had no idea that her company’s hoof boots would be featured on the program until the production company, Horses for Production, reached out during rehearsals. They needed the boots to prevent Beyoncé’s horse from slipping on the stadium’s concrete floors. Herder, along with her husband, designed the boots as an alternative to traditional horseshoes, with a focus on comfort and shock absorption for the horse.
