Stock up! On June 27, all sports stars gathered at the Rogers Center for the 14th Annual Joe Carter Classic Welcome Reception presented by DraftKings. Carter hosted the event, which also marked the 30th anniversary of the Blue Jays’ 1993 World Series victory and his own historic home run. Guests have included baseball legends such as José Bautista, Shawn Green, Barry Larkin and Kenny Lofton. The celebration was a prelude to the Joe Carter Classic golf tournament, which has raised more than $4 million in support of several charities, including the Jays Care Foundation, Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada and the Joe Carter Scholarship Endowment Fund.
