The official press release also included an update that passport delivery has returned to pre-pandemic levels with no backlogs.
In addition, Service Canada exceeds the delivery standard for most applications.
In addition, Service Canada has resumed delivering nearly all passports within the 10 and 20 day time frame, with approximately 98% of passports being issued within service standards.
There are now 20 Service Canada Centers across the country where Canadians can apply for and receive their passports by mail within 10 business days.
This opening of new 10-day Canadian passport service locations will enable Canadians to receive service closer to their homes and reduce wait times at passport offices.
Canadians who need a passport within less than 10 business days must still visit a passport office that offers an express or urgent collection service.
