Cocaine, hydromorphone, oxycodone and cash seized in Bishopville bust, man and woman arrested

BISHOPVILLE, N.S. — Police in Bishopville arrested a man and woman after drugs were seized from a home in the community on Oct. 21.

Members of the Kings District RCMP and the Kentville Police Service executed a search warrant at a home in the town seizing cocaine, hydromorphone, oxycodone, cash, scales and cellular phones.

William Strickland, 62, and Barbara Davidson, 44, were arrested at the scene.

Both have been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Strickland faces an additional charge of possession of property obtained by crime.

The two were released on conditions and will appear in Kentville provincial court on Dec. 27.
