Conor McGregor in preliminary agreement to fight Logan Paul
Conor McGregor Agrees to Exhibition Boxing Match with Logan Paul in India
Former UFC champion Conor McGregor has announced that he has reached a preliminary agreement to fight American social media influencer-turned-fighter Logan Paul in an exhibition boxing match. The Irish mixed martial arts fighter made the announcement on social media, revealing that the fight is set to take place in India.
McGregor, who recently faced legal trouble after being ordered to pay damages for assaulting a woman in 2018, did not specify the exact date for the potential bout. However, he shared that he is in talks with the Ambani family for the event.
“I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed,” McGregor stated in his social media post. He also hinted at a potential return to the UFC after the exhibition match.
Logan Paul, known for his social media presence, has limited experience in professional fighting. The 27-year-old previously went up against retired boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition match, where he managed to last eight rounds against the much older opponent.
McGregor’s decision to face Paul comes after the success of his brother Jake Paul’s high-profile fights, including a match against Mike Tyson. The popularity of these events has drawn significant attention to the world of exhibition boxing.
It remains to be seen when the exhibition match between McGregor and Paul will take place, but fans are already buzzing with excitement over the potential showdown between the two fighters.
