Being Black in Nova Scotia is a new digital space at CBC featuring the stories and experiences of Black people in the province.
You’ll see stories about African Nova Scotians and their experiences as distinct people with 400 years of history in the province, and stories inclusive of Black people from across the African diaspora who live, work and call Nova Scotia home.
We’re bringing these stories together in one page so people can find news stories, profiles and occasionally content from other parts of CBC, such as arts and documentaries. It highlights narratives that matter to Black people and communities, including individual successes and historical content.
