Florida police officer delivers pizza after big gator spotted in customer’s driveway

A Florida woman had quite the surprise recently when a police officer ended up delivering her pizza due to an unexpected visitor lurking under her car – an eight-foot alligator. The Bradenton Police Department shared a video of the encounter, showing Officer Tolson responding to the call with a sense of humor.

In the shared body camera footage, Officer Tolson can be heard telling a pizza delivery woman to stop in her tracks as she arrived to drop off the order. The reason? A massive alligator had taken refuge under the customer’s vehicle.

The officer calmly instructed the delivery person to go around to the back of the house to ensure her safety. Understandably, the woman expressed her fear of the situation, but Tolson assured her that as long as the alligator remained under the car, she would be safe.

Despite her apprehension, the pizza delivery woman handed over the pizza and receipt to Officer Tolson, who then took charge of completing the delivery. A neighbor advised the woman inside the home to stay put due to the alligator’s presence.

However, the woman decided to step outside, only to be warned by Tolson not to leave the safety of her home. Shocked by the sight of the alligator, she exclaimed, “Oh my God! My heavens! There’s an alligator under my car!”

Concerned for her safety, Tolson urged her to return inside the house. The woman was worried about her pizza, but the officer assured her he would handle the situation. Tolson then met her at the back door to exchange the pizza for payment.

During the exchange, the woman was surprised to learn that Tolson was a police officer and not the delivery person. After settling the payment, the woman requested a photo of the unusual encounter. To ensure her safety, Tolson took a picture of the alligator under the car using her phone before the reptile was removed by trappers.
