Halifax police investigating shooting in North Preston

NORTH PRESTON, N.S. — Police in Halifax are investigating an alleged shooting in the North Preston area during the early hours of Dec. 25.

Halifax District RCMP responded to a shooting report on Cain Street just after 1 a.m. 

Mounties learned a residence and a nearby parked vehicle were damaged. 

Officers said nobody was injured during the incident. 

The investigation is ongoing. 

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call the HRP/RCMP Guns and Gangs Unit at 902-490-5020 or tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
