Halifax police seize cocaine after disturbance in parking lot, one arrested

HALIFAX, N.S. — A 41-year-old man has been charged after police seized cocaine when responding to a disturbance in Halifax on Thursday morning.

At about 10:15 a.m., Halifax Regional Police were called to a parking lot on the 3600 block of Joseph Howe Drive where a man in a vehicle was reportedly arguing with another man.

The driver allegedly pointed a gun at the man and then drove off.

A short time later, officers found the suspect car nearby and seized cocaine and cash. No firearm was located.

The man is set to appear in Halifax provincial court on a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
