Incoming Trump administration given new blueprint on ways to weaken Iran: ‘unique opportunity’

The Trump transition team has been presented with a new report that recommends bold actions to counter the Iranian regime as President-elect Donald Trump prepares to begin his second term in office. The report, titled “A 100 Day Plan for the Incoming Trump Administration on Iran,” was shared with Fox News Digital and outlines a comprehensive strategy to curb Iran’s destabilizing activities in the Middle East.
Ambassador Mark D. Wallace, CEO of United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI), emphasized the urgency of addressing Iran’s sponsorship of terrorism and regional aggression. He highlighted the opportunity for President-elect Trump to utilize diplomatic, informational, military, and economic measures to hold Tehran accountable and promote stability in the region.
The report proposes a whole-of-government approach, involving diplomatic coordination with allies, to pressure Iran and limit its ability to engage in hostile activities. Co-author Jason Brodsky stressed the importance of building a pressure campaign against Iran to force the regime to make difficult choices.
In light of recent developments, such as Iran’s enrichment of uranium to weapons-grade levels, the report suggests that the U.S. should be prepared to use military force to destroy Iran’s nuclear program if necessary. It also recommends targeted strikes against key Iranian military and intelligence assets in response to any threats posed to American interests.
Furthermore, the report advocates for the establishment of a military defector program to encourage dissent within Iran’s security forces and weaken the regime from within. Additionally, measures to disrupt Iran’s illicit revenue streams, particularly through oil exports, are proposed as a means to deprive the regime of resources for funding terrorist activities.
Despite calls for negotiations with Tehran, the report warns against a strategy of endless talks that could allow Iran to evade pressure and continue its destabilizing behavior. Ambassador Wallace underscored the success of previous maximum pressure campaigns and urged the incoming Trump administration to reapply this approach to confront the weakened Iranian regime.
As Iran faces setbacks in the region, including clashes with Israel, the report concludes that the regime’s days are numbered and that the Iranian people will eventually rise up against the corrupt leadership. With a renewed focus on holding Iran accountable and applying pressure to curb its aggression, the report provides a roadmap for the Trump administration to address the Iranian regime’s destabilizing activities in the Middle East.
