Work through the immigration application backlog more quickly, especially for those who qualify for “technical talent” and are not yet in Canada. It has been 31 months since I applied for permanent residency through the flow of federal skilled workers, express entry. When I applied, the processing standard was 6 months. Even consider Covid-19, now the processing time is 24 months. According to a website where job applicants share their processing timeline and updates, it appears that most if not all of the individuals who applied through a federal skilled worker before me were approved. And a large portion of the people who applied later were also approved.

please deal with the unfairly extended immigration application processing time for Chinese applicants.
Like hundreds of other Chinese applicants, the processing time for Chinese applicants is noticeably longer. And an unfairly large portion of us were under security checks for almost a year for no reason.
Take me for example, I obtained a PhD in Engineering and scored 8 on the IELTS exam, but my application was not approved after 31 months of waiting and the security check takes about 11 months.
In fact, we applied for immigration through FSW stream, the processing standard is 6 months. Take covid-19 into account, now the processing standard is 24 months. The waiting time is frustrating and my whole family suffered from this situation. If more details are needed, please contact me.
