Today Immigration Secretary Sean Fraser will make an announcement about Express Entry for skilled healthcare entrants.
He will be joined by Canada’s Health Minister, Jean-Yves Duclos, to announce measures to address labor needs in the healthcare sector.

What could this announcement be?
On May 31, the Secretary of Immigration announced selection criteria for profession-specific targeted Express Entry draws and released a list of eligible professions.
It appears that this could be a repeat announcement regarding targeted Express Entry draws for 35 healthcare professions or further expansion of the category focused on healthcare.
In addition, the Immigration Minister and the Health Minister are very unlikely to reveal details of the first targeted Express Entry draw for healthcare professions, but this is an overly optimistic expectation.
