Jewish Tesla owner ‘speechless’ after catching Jewish anti-Musk activist drawing swastika on his Cybertruck

A shocking incident unfolded in New York City when a man was caught drawing a swastika on a Cybertruck belonging to another man, only to discover that both individuals were Jewish. The suspect, identified as Michael Lewis, 42, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated harassment but later released, according to his attorney, Mark Luccarelli.
The owner of the Cybertruck, Avi Ben Hamo, witnessed Lewis double parking his Subaru and defacing the vehicle with the hate symbol. Ben Hamo, feeling a surge of anger, confronted Lewis as he attempted to flee the scene. The confrontation was captured by a New York Post reporter and photographer who were present at the time.
Lewis hastily left his car behind in a bike lane as he tried to escape, but he was later apprehended by police officers when he returned to retrieve his vehicle. Luccarelli explained that the swastika was traced in the dust on the Cybertruck and that no permanent damage had been done to the vehicle. Lewis, who is also Jewish, expressed regret for his actions, citing personal issues as a contributing factor.
The incident comes amidst a wave of protests targeting Tesla vehicles, charging stations, and dealerships due to Elon Musk’s association with President Donald Trump. However, Ben Hamo was appalled by the use of a Nazi symbol to convey dissatisfaction with Musk. He emphasized that while criticism of Musk is valid, resorting to such extreme measures is unacceptable.
Musk’s involvement with the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has drawn criticism from liberal groups, leading to acts of vandalism at various Tesla locations across the country. Despite the backlash against Musk, Ben Hamo asserted that defacing his property in this manner was unjustified.
The incident underscores the deep-rooted impact of hate symbols and the need for tolerance and understanding within communities. While disagreements and protests are part of a democratic society, resorting to hateful symbols only serves to perpetuate division and animosity. The importance of peaceful dialogue and respectful discourse cannot be overstated in addressing societal issues.
