Two Winners Share $80 Million Lotto Max Jackpot

Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) has announced that there are two winners of the $80 million Lotto Max jackpot. The prize will be split between the holders of two tickets sold in Quebec and Alberta.

The jackpot was pulled in the Tuesday-night draw, marking the second time in Canada’s history that the top prize has reached $80 million.

Along with the jackpot, winning tickets for one-million-dollar prizes were sold in Brampton, Hamilton, and Timmins, Ontario. Another million was won online, and three winning tickets worth $333,333.40 each were sold in Hamilton, Toronto, and Bowmanville, Ontario.

The Lotto Max “Second Prize” ticket, valued at nearly $225,000, was sold in Unionville, Ontario. Additionally, a $100,000 “Encore” prize goes to the holder of a ticket sold in the Kawartha Lakes area.

Since 2009, OLG has awarded a total of $8.8 billion in prizes.

This Friday’s draw is set to feature a jackpot of $33 million.
