Male employee at Middleton high school accused of peering at female student in bathroom stall

MIDDLETON, N.S. — A 52-year-old Middleton Regional High School employee has been charged with voyeurism and forcible confinement following an alleged incident earlier this month.

Annapolis District RCMP were called to the school Oct. 20 after a female student said she was in a bathroom stall when a ladder was placed in front of its its door and a man climbed it to peer down at her.

The student says the man tried to prevent her from getting out of the stall by leaving the ladder where it was, but took it and left the bathroom when another person came in.

The youth was not injured.

Ronald Blair Weatherby, of Upper Granville, was arrested without incident on Oct. 23 and later released on conditions, including being prohibited from entering the high school and having contact with several people, including the victim.

He’s scheduled to appear in Annapolis Royal provincial court on Jan. 15.
