Man charged after Acadia University employee threatened

WOLFVILLE, N.S. — Police have charged a 52-year-old Coldbrook man with uttering threats after an incident at Acadia University on Aug. 8.

Kings District RCMP received a call from the school reporting a man had been threatening to harm an employee.

Further investigation led to the arrest of Rick Mehta on Aug. 11.

Mehta was charged with three counts of uttering threats.

He was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court in Kentville on Oct. 24.

The investigation is ongoing.
