Man found dead under ATV in Bas-St-Laurent region
A 28-year-old man was found dead under an off-road vehicle in the Bas-St-Laurent region on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called around 7 a.m. after an ATV overturned on the road from Saint-Benoit to Packington, over 50 miles south of Rivière-du-Loup.
County police spokesman Sgt. Stéphane Tremblay says workers found the body in a ditch under the vehicle.
The victim, originally from Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac, was taken to a hospital where his death was confirmed.
According to the police, the accident happened just hours before the body was discovered.
An investigation is underway into the circumstances of the incident.
