Missing Missouri mother found dead, boyfriend charged with murder: police

A tragic incident unfolded in Missouri as a missing woman was found dead, leading to her boyfriend being charged with murder. The victim, Aspen Lewis, 24, was allegedly killed by her boyfriend, Aaron Malone, 23, according to the Barry County Sheriff’s Office.

The case began when Malone contacted authorities to report Lewis’ possible abduction on November 25. However, when deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered a large blood stain behind Malone’s truck along with pieces of jewelry. This raised suspicions and prompted a criminal investigation.

Surveillance footage later revealed Malone’s vehicle arriving at Lewis’ residence late on the night of November 24, followed by sounds of screaming. Malone left the residence in the early hours of the morning, only to return a few hours later. Before his return, he called 911, leading to further scrutiny from law enforcement.

Following a confession from Malone, Lewis’ body was found in a wooded area covered with leaves and sticks, showing signs of extensive head trauma. Malone was subsequently charged with murder and arraigned in Barry County Court, where he pleaded not guilty. He is currently held without bond in the Stone County jail.

Lewis, described as a spiritual person who loved animals and the outdoors, leaves behind a young son. The tragic incident has left the community in shock and mourning for the loss of a beloved individual.

The details of this case serve as a reminder of the importance of raising awareness about domestic violence and the need to address such issues to prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Aspen Lewis during this difficult time.
