The National Guard Presence in Washington Grows to Almost 2,300 Troops

The presence of the National Guard in Washington has risen to nearly 2,300 troops as part of the law and order initiative of President Donald Trump in the nation’s capital.
Simultaneously, the Pentagon is deploying an additional 1,700 National Guard members in 19 states to bolster federal immigration enforcement efforts.
