Lunenburg District RCMP, paramedics and firefighters were called just before 1 a.m. when a Suzuki SX4 collided head-on with a Ford F150 near Exit 7. In a news release, RCMP said the Suzuki crossed over the centre line just before the collision.

The driver and sole occupant of the Suzuki, a 63-year-old man from Musquodoboit Harbour, was pronounced dead at the scene.
