Nancy Pelosi announces major surgery after fall in Germany
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., recently underwent surgery for a hip replacement overseas after suffering a fall in Germany. According to a spokesperson, the surgery was successful and Pelosi is now on the road to recovery.
The Pelosi spokesperson expressed gratitude towards the medical staff at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center at Landstuhl Army Base and Hospital Kirchberg in Luxembourg for their exceptional care and kindness during Pelosi’s treatment.
Pelosi’s spokesperson also mentioned that the former Speaker is appreciative of the outpouring of prayers and well wishes she has received and remains committed to ensuring access to quality healthcare for all Americans.
The incident occurred earlier this week while Pelosi was in Germany. Following the fall, she was promptly taken to the medical facilities where the decision was made to proceed with a hip replacement surgery.
