New Brunswick man, 76, dead after crash in Halifax County

One man is dead after a crash on Highway 207 in Grand Desert early Thursday morning.

Cpl. Guillaume Tremblay said the 76-year-old New Brunswick resident was the only occupant of a GMC Sierra that left the road and ended up in the ditch at about 3:10 a.m. near the intersection of the highway and Grand Desert Station Road. He was taken to hospital but declared deceased.

The highway was closed for a time while a collision analyst worked at the scene, but has since reopened.

The investigation is continuing.
