New Glasgow police searching for missing 73-year-old woman
Police in New Glasgow, N.S., are asking for the public’s help in finding a 73-year-old woman who left for a walk Monday afternoon and did not return.

Police in New Glasgow, N.S., are asking for the public’s help in finding a 73-year-old woman who left for a walk Monday afternoon and did not return.
An emergency alert issued for the Pictou County area shortly after 11:30 p.m. Monday said Adair Townsend was last seen walking from her residence on Brookside Avenue in New Glasgow at 12 p.m.
In a news release, New Glasgow Regional Police said Townsend has a mild case of Alzheimer’s and takes regular walks on her own.
It said police have followed up on several leads, but none have been successful.
“Police and her family are concerned and want to know if she is safe,” the release said.
Townsend is described as five foot two inches tall with grey medium length hair. She was wearing a grey-blue coat, black Doc Marten boots and glasses.
