Elon Musk reveals black eye by 5-year-old son during Oval Office farewell

Elon Musk’s Farewell to the Oval Office: What Really Happened to His Eye?

Elon Musk made a surprising appearance at the Oval Office on Friday to say goodbye to his official role in the Trump administration. While his involvement with DOGE was a topic of discussion, it was something else that caught everyone’s attention – a black eye under his right eye.

During the livestreamed event, social media was abuzz with speculation about the cause of the bruise. Was it a gym mishap? A political scuffle? The assembled press couldn’t resist asking Musk about it.

“Well, I wasn’t anywhere near France,” Musk joked, referencing a recent incident involving French President Emmanuel Macron. “I didn’t know the first lady of France isn’t a lieutenant.”

But then Musk revealed the truth behind the black eye. “No, I just was horsing around with little X,” he explained, referring to his five-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii. “And I said, ‘Go ahead, punch me in the face.’ And he did. Turns out even a 5-year-old punching you in the face… actually does this.”

President Donald Trump, who was also present, couldn’t help but chime in. “That was X that did that?” he asked, to which Musk confirmed.

The lighthearted moment during Musk’s farewell event marked the end of his 130-day tenure as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Despite the distraction of the black eye, Musk remained focused on his message.

“This is not the end of DOGE,” he assured reporters. “Only the beginning.”

According to DOGE’s official site, the department achieved over $175 billion in savings during Musk’s time in office, primarily through asset sales, canceled contracts, and anti-fraud measures. This translated to an estimated $1,087 saved per taxpayer.

As Musk moves on from his government role, the future of DOGE remains uncertain. But one thing is clear – Musk’s mark on the administration will not be forgotten.
