Parkers Cove, N.S. woman flees for help during home invasion: RCMP

PORT ROYAL, N.S. — Police are investigating after a woman had to flee her Parkers Cove, N.S., home after she refused entry to a stranger on Friday night, Nov. 17.

Shortly before 9 p.m., Annapolis District RCMP were called to a Parker Mountain Road residence where the female occupant reportedly heard banging noises at her back door and found a man on her deck who said he needed to get inside.

When refused entry, police said the man smashed the door’s window and entered the home as the woman fled through the front door to a neighbour’s home where she called 911.

The man fled before Mounties and police dog services could arrive and could not be found.

RCMP Forensic Identification Services attended the home and examined the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Annapolis District RCMP at 902-665-4481 or tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
