CBC Studios on Front Street West became a Las Vegas-style black-tie boxing showcase on June 1, when the Pinball Clemons Foundation hosted its sixth annual Victory Gala presented by Central Ontario Building Trades. Founded by Chris Amendola, this unique fundraiser consisted of fully-approved charity boxing matches overseen by the Girls Just Wanna Box club, which found business executives who traded their laptops for boxing gloves. Sports commentator Rod Black co-hosted the event with Toronto Raptors deejay DJ 4Korners and Juno-nominated singer Jully Black entertained the crowd.
