Police arrest ex-Giants linebacker after Fort Lauderdale airport brawl

Former New York Giants defensive player Micheal Barrow found himself in a troubling situation at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Reports indicated that Barrow was involved in a heated argument with members of his family, which escalated to physical violence.
During the altercation, Barrow’s fist reportedly made contact with his wife’s face, causing her to fall to the ground. The incident led to Barrow facing three counts of domestic battery, as per jail records. Further details about the arrest were not immediately available, and Fox News Digital reached out to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office for more information.
Barrow, 55, entered a not guilty plea and was released on a $5,000 bond. The former Miami Hurricanes standout had a successful career in the NFL, winning two national championships in college and receiving Big East Defensive Player of the Year honors in 1992. He was drafted by the Houston Oilers in 1993 and went on to play for the Carolina Panthers before finishing his career with the Giants in 2003.
After retiring from playing, Barrow transitioned to coaching, serving on Miami’s coaching staff and later with the Seattle Seahawks. Despite his legal troubles, Barrow’s contributions to the sport of football are still remembered.
